Belarus, UAE discussed bilateral relations in law enforcement

The head of the Belarusian department expressed gratitude to the guest for the warm welcome of our country’s delegation to the UAE in October 2023. As a result of the meeting, an agreement on co-operation in the field of security and counter-terrorism was signed, as well as a memorandum of understanding on mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses.

“The two sides discussed the current state of co-operation and the further development of bilateral relations in the law enforcement sphere between the interior ministries of Belarus and the UAE,” the department reported.

According to Ivan Kubrakov, at the invitation of the Dubai Police Chief Command, two teams (male and female) of the Interior Ministry’s special forces will participate in specialised competitions to take place in the UAE from January 30th to February 8th, “I’m convinced our employees will perform well at these competitions and demonstrate professionalism in performing special tasks.”

The Interior Minister of Belarus invited the Ambassador to visit units in the region at a time convenient for him, “We’re ready to actively develop mutually beneficial cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the UAE.”
