Dmitry Krutoi underlined the importance of the speedy holding of Belarusian-Saudi inter-MFA consultations, within the framework of which the entire range of bilateral relations can be considered, as well as the next meeting of the intergovernmental Joint Co-operation Committee, which will give a significant impetus to the development of trade-economic liaisons between Belarus and Saudi Arabia.

The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia fully supported these approaches, and also proposed more actively using the potential of the two countries’ business circles to intensify mutual trade and investment.

The two sides discussed issues of supplies of Belarusian milk and dairy products to Saudi Arabia, and considered the prospects for organising the import of petrochemical products from Saudi Arabia to our country.

The Belarusian Ambassador expressed confidence that the trade mission created at the Saudi diplomatic mission in Moscow will make a significant contribution to the development of trade-economic relations between Minsk and Riyadh.
