Belarus, Russia agreed to step up counteraction to sanctions pressure
The foreign ministers of Belarus and Russia, Vladimir Makei and Sergey Lavrov, have talked by phone today – as reported by Russia’s Foreign Ministry
"The sides discussed current issues of bilateral co-operation and Union State building, and also the schedule of upcoming Russian-Belarusian contacts and events within the CSTO," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The foreign ministers exchanged views on topical regional issues, including the progress of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine and Russia-Ukraine talks.
"It was agreed to enhance close co-ordination in the foreign policy sphere, including joint counteraction to illegitimate sanctions pressure on the part of some western states,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
