More Libyans eager to study medicine in Belarus
The Belarusian State Medical University’s Rector, Sergei Rubnikovich, met with a delegation of Libya’s Education Ministry to discuss the issues of increased enrolment of Libyan citizens and prospects of co-operation between the Belarusian medical institution and specialised universities of Libya
“An official delegation of Libya’s Education Ministry has visited the Belarusian State Medical University to discuss promising areas of academic co-operation, and also training of Libyan citizens at BSMU,” the university informed.
The sides focused on the issues of Libyans’ enrolment at BSMU, including their transfer from higher educational institutions of foreign countries. In addition, prospects of the Belarusian leading medical institution’s co-operation with Libya’s specialised universities were discussed.
As reported, the sides expressed mutual interest in increasing the number of Libyan students at the Medical Faculty and in clinical residency. Among the most popular specialties among Libyans are oncology, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology.
