Belarus’ President Decree updates issues of alienation of property by persons from unfriendly countries

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed Decree No. 91, which – based on established practice – corrects subparagraph 2.13 of paragraph 2 of Decree No. 93 (dated March 14th, 2022) On Additional Measures to Ensure Stable Functioning of the Economy, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

In particular, the adopted document determines cases when obtaining permission and paying a fee are not required upon alienation of property by persons from unfriendly countries.

The Council of Ministers is also given the right to clarify issues of application of the provisions established by this subparagraph.

The issue of the need to make appropriate changes was discussed on January 18th of this year at a meeting of the President of Belarus with the Council of Ministers leadership.
