Belarus, Pakistan outline steps to expand parliamentarian co-operation
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa has met with Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting of the National Assembly of the Pakistani Parliament Javaria Zafar Aheer (co-ordinator of the Belarus-Pakistan friendship group) and other members of the parliamentary friendship group
The diplomatic mission noted that the two sides discussed the current state of Belarusian-Pakistani relations in the parliamentary sphere, particularly, the functioning of the Belarus-Pakistan friendship working group. They focused on the importance of maintaining friendly relations at a high level, as well as intensifying the Belarusian-Pakistani inter-parliamentary dialogue. The parties outlined further steps to intensify co-operation between the parliaments of the two states.
