Belarus’ NOC celebrating its 32nd anniversary

On March 22nd, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus turned 32 years old – as reported on the NOC official website

During the 32-year history of the National Olympic Committee, Belarusian athletes have taken part in 15 Olympic Games: 8 winter and 7 summer. In total, they won 105 Olympic medals: 21 gold, 37 silver and 47 bronze.

“Since the formation of the National Olympic Committee, the sports facilities have changed and improved significantly,” the NOC underlined.

Thus, at least 23,000 physical culture and sports facilities are currently operating in the country.

On March 22nd, 1991, at the founding conference in Minsk, the National Olympic Committee of the BSSR was created, from the moment our state gained independence, it was called the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
