Belarus, Laos to develop inter-parliamentary co-operation

The current state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary co-operation, including with the assistance of friendship groups, was high on the agenda during a meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Shestakov (currently on a working visit to Laos) and Deputy President of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Sounthone Xayachack

“During the meeting the two sides paid special attention to strengthening the legal framework while also noting the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in expanding practical co-operation at the regional and business level, and holding cultural and humanitarian events in Belarus and Laos,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.
