Belarus, Ethiopia interested in bringing bilateral relations to higher level
Belarus’ First Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Lukashevich, received copies of credentials of Cham Ugala Uriat, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Belarus concurrently, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry
The meeting was timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. On that occasion, congratulatory messages were sent on behalf of the President and Prime Minister of Belarus.
"The parties stated their mutual interest in more actively using the existing potential of bilateral relations and bringing them to a higher level," the Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of Belarusian-Ethiopian co-operation in the field of industry, agriculture and food security, as well as the development of the contractual and legal framework of bilateral liaisons.
