Belarus’ Defence Ministry: check of army combat readiness continues

The combat readiness check continues in the Belarusian army, with involvement of units of mechanised formations, special operations forces, missile troops and artillery, BelTA reports with reference to the Defence Ministry

Tactical operations continue countrywide, and units are mostly moved to new points.

As informed by the Defence Ministry, tactical missile systems and multiple rocket launchers are deployed near the western borders. The army clearly demonstrates that Polonaise and Tochka complexes will immediately respond to any attempt of aggression against Belarus.

A missile unit commander explained that the missile division, together with the units, is performing tasks in the designated area as part of the combat readiness check. “During the operations, the deployment and occupation of starting positions, the organisation of their protection and defence, as well as the division's entry on combat duty at designated facilities have been fulfilled and worked out," he said.

Separate units of mechanised brigades are also being tested, and the exam is passed primarily by those who have not yet been involved in the combat readiness check.

Security on the routes is provided, among other things, by the people's militia members. The effectiveness of this component of the security system is now being actively investigated by the military leadership, their growth points and opportunities are being determined.

As noted by a shooter of the people's militia detachment, Aleksandr Kopach, the detachment is divided into several groups. Some of them leave to fulfil the tasks of the curfew service to ensure the passage of a military column, and the others are engaged into the protection of a village council.

Intensive training continues in the formations of special operations forces, and the area of operation stretches from Vitebsk to Brest. "We primarily focus on fire, tactical and engineering training, as well as tactical medicine,” Dmitry Sobol, the Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces, said.

The army's combat readiness check continues. The number of new elements in the programme is increasing, and this requires non-standard thinking of commanders.
