Belarus, African Union agreed to form plan and priorities for further co-operation

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kenya, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the African Union, Pavel Vzyatkin, held a meeting with the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, at the organisation’s headquarters in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports

Pavel Vzyatkin informed on Belarus’ commitment to the consistent development of relations with the countries of the African continent on the principles of mutual respect and trust and the building of mutually beneficial economic co-operation.

In the context of discussing promising areas of co-operation between Belarus and African countries, Moussa Faki Mahamat highly appreciated the potential for interaction in the field of agriculture, taking into account the quality of equipment and the competencies of the Belarusian side in the agricultural field.

The parties agreed to ensure joint work of the relevant departments in order to structure interaction and form a plan and priorities for further co-operation.
