Bartosh: Belarus is one of main food exporters, as confirmed by world rankings

On the eve of the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Minister Sergei Bartosh answered questions about export supplies

The official noted, “Belarus is one of the main food exporters, which is confirmed by all world ratings. Moreover, we’re among top-5 countries exporting dairy products. In 2022, $8.3bn of food products and agricultural raw materials were sold abroad. Export geography covers more than 100 countries. As is traditional, the main buyers are the CIS member states, primarily the Russian Federation. Moreover, active development of foreign markets continues, and the most important direction is China. Since 2016, exports to this country have increased more than 100 times. What are we selling to the Chinese now? Beef, poultry, skimmed milk powder, whey, whole milk, rapeseed oil.”
