Bahdanovich handed over NOC banner, previously hoisted on Elbrus peak, to museum exposition
Today, at the headquarters of the NOC of Belarus, the 2008 Olympic champion in canoe sprint and Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, handed over the flag of the National Olympic Committee of our country to the museum exposition – as reported on the NOC official website
This banner was hoisted on the top of Elbrus on August 6th this year.
Aliaksandr Bahdanovich told in detail what difficulties he faced while conquering Elbrus and what peaks he is going to conquer in the future.
The Olympic champion noted that the ascent was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Dinamo society, and he purposefully took the flag of Belarus’ NOC to Elbrus, “This was my second attempt to climb this mountain. It didn’t work last year, but this time I succeeded. The first ascent was without experience, it was hard, and I even thought not to repeat the attempt, but the mountains definitely lure. Therefore, like a man, you challenge yourself and understand that you must prove to yourself.”
