Azarov said consequences of Kakhovka HPP destruction will be very severe

The destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP) will have many very serious consequences – as noted by former PM of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in his talk with Belarus 1TV channel

“The Kakhovka HPP completes the cascade of power plants built in Soviet times on the Dnieper River,” he said. “This cascade solved many problems for the national economy, i.e., it was a single complex, it is not only energy, it is also various hydraulic structures, the supply of water to the entire region that adjoins the Dnieper River, the provision of navigation. Largest cities and largest enterprises are located on the banks of the Dnieper. Now the hydroelectric power station has been destroyed as a result of barbaric actions of the Kiev regime, which persistently bombarded the dam, engine rooms, and the water bypass hall every day since September. In the end, their last bombings led to the fact that at first the so-called doors, which were releasing water in an organised manner, were destroyed, and then the destruction of the engine room and the body of the dam itself began.”

According to Mykola Azarov, now surface sources – various wells and water intakes – are flooded with water that has mixed with mud; cemeteries are flooded.

The politician is convinced that the consequences will be very severe, “As a former prime minister of the country, I’m simply shocked with the indifference, with which they carry out these barbaric actions. These people are destroying what they did not build with their own hands. They have not moved a finger on a single object in Ukraine in these nine years, but they systematically destroy, leaving people without water, in this case without electricity, arrange blockades. Nevertheless, the whole world is silent. It’s a marvel to me.”

Kiev is committing genocide. Moreover, as long as there is a terrorist Kiev regime, such provocations and such tragedies will be repeated, says Mykola Azarov.
