Andreichenko: Turkiye is a friendly country for Belarus

The relations between Belarus and Turkiye are developing dynamically and progressively across a wide range of issues. Over the thirty-one years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, these ties have never been interrupted – as stated by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye, Mustafa Ozcan, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Belarus.

“Turkiye is a friendly state for Belarus. Today there are no serious problematic issues between our countries. In this regard, it is important that the positive dynamics of co-operation continue to develop further. First of all, it is necessary to develop economic relations. At the same time, we must not lose other directions which include education, healthcare, culture, tourism, and youth exchange. These are important links, enabling us to get to know each other better. We see and know that Turkiye pursues an independent and balanced foreign and domestic policy, which echoes the policy pursued by the Belarusian Head of State.”

Taking into account the current difficult situation, Vladimir Andreichenko proposed to continue the development and expansion of inter-parliamentary relations, “Belarus-Turkiye inter-parliamentary interaction is actively developing; we have established good relations. Active work is carried out between friendship groups to share experience between commissions, with online meetings and mutual visits held. In many ways, this was also achieved thanks to personal, trusting relationships between the leadership of the Parliament. I think work in this direction should be continued.”
