Ambassador: Belarus’ pavilion at VDNKh expects 1.2m visitors per year, 30% more than in 2022

In January-July 2023, 700 thousand people visited the Belarusian pavilion at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy in Moscow, while the figure for the entire year of 2022 made 900,000. According to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia, Dmitry Krutoi, 1 million 200 thousand guests are expected this year.

As noted by the diplomat, the pavilion opened in a new concept last year, and the attendance and the revenue of its outlets have increased since then. “This is really a very good pace,” Mr. Krutoi appreciated the work. “After a new concept was launched, the pavilion has doubled its trade turnover, and the profit of all 14 outlets located within it is growing.”

He added that a certain competition among the goods presented is observed, and food tops this rating. “Food products were not previously presented in such a format, and the concept is based on the opportunity to offer novelties of our major meat and dairy plants. Cosmetics are now ranked second, and footwear is in the third place,” Mr. Krutoi said.

The diplomat noted that the concept of the Belarusian pavilion is not so much to sell goods as to introduce them to Russian consumers, to present new products. "It sometimes happens that new footwear models are not presented in Belarus but go to the exhibition first. Here, they are offered for sale and testing. Actually, this is right, since not ordinary classic shops work here: the best products of our factories and plants are presented,” he summed up.
