Almost 222,000 people evacuated to Russia from Donbass and Ukraine
The number of people evacuated to Russia from Donbass and Ukraine exceeded 220,000 – as reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies
“As of the morning of March 11th, about 222,000 people crossed the border of the Russian Federation, including over 50,000 children,” the news agency’s source cited the data.
It is noted that more than 193,000 people have arrived in Russia from the DPR and LPR since February 18th when the authorities of these republics announced the evacuation. About 30,000 people were able to leave Ukraine through the checkpoints of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk regions and the Crimea.
More than 50,000 people who were evacuated to Russia are Russian citizens while the rest are citizens of the DPR, LPR, Ukraine and other countries.
