Abe's state funeral accompanied by protests in Tokyo

Hundreds of people gathered in the capital of Japan to protest against the state funeral ceremony of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, RIA Novosti reports

It is informed that those gathered are accompanied by law enforcement officers as they are walking along the streets located next to the Nippon Budokan martial arts hall, where the state funeral of the former head of government will take place later.

Some protesters keep posters reading: ‘Against the state funeral!’, ‘Cancel the funeral!’. Meanwhile, the police are making attempts to take some of them out of the crowd.

Shinzo Abe was shot dead on July 8th during a campaign speech in Nara. 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami shot him twice using a homemade gun.
