Belarusian rower Yauheni Zalaty has won a gold medal at the European Rowing Championships in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), sb.by reports with reference to the National Olympic Committee of Belarus
In the final race, the Belarusian covered 2,000m in 6 minutes and 41.09 seconds, earning him first place on the medals podium. Stefanos Ntouskos of Greece finished second, with Mihai Chiruta of Romania ranked third.
Earlier, Mikita Karneyeu of Belarus claimed bronze in the lightweight men’s single sculls at the continental forum in Bulgaria.
