The 35th Open Festival of Author’s Songs, Poetry and Visual Arts – Vitebsk Listapad – begins its work today, gathering musicians, artists and performers from six countries
As is traditional, the jubilee forum is held in two formats – online and offline – enabling musicians, poets, authors and performers from Belarus, Israel, Latvia, New Zealand, Russia and Ukraine to take part.
The festival will open with a poetry tournament which can be attended not only by the finalists of the poetry contest, but all those who wish – including jury members and journalists. A concert programme will then follow. In addition, an exhibition of Vitebsk’s master Valentina Lyakhovich opens at the Vitebsk Concert Hall today.
On the second day of the festival, October 16th, participants and guests will enjoy a no less rich programme as well. Song and poetry competitions will be held at different venues and, in the evening, a gala concert will gather laureates of all nominations and festival participants. Moreover, the winner of the main nomination – The Recognition – will be announced.
A poetic night will close the three-day festival on October 17th.
