In particular, Mr. Tusk said, “The elections will be a referendum on whether Poland will remain in the EU. Kaczynski already has a plan for Poland's exit from the EU.”

Along with that, the politician expressed the opinion that if the Law and Justice party wins the elections, ‘then it is no longer a matter of decades: Kaczynski will bring his plan to an end within months, or a year or a year and a half at the longest’.

Donald Tusk also believes that Poland's withdrawal from the European Union will not require a special referendum, ‘one vote in the Sejm will be enough’. “If Law and Justice wins a majority in Parliament, then remember my words, my warning: they will use it to withdraw Poland from the EU," the politician stated.

To date, according to Donald Tusk, up to 80 percent of Polish citizens approve of the country's membership in the European Union.
