Lukashenko signed decree pardoning 15 convicts
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed a decree pardoning 15 convicts, including 9 women; 11 persons have committed crimes as juveniles, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports Some of those pardoned had their sentences replaced with softer ones, while the rest had their unserved sentences reduced. The relevant proposals were submitted by the Commission on Pardons and Release from Criminal Liability in pursuance of the Head of State’s instruction.
