Swiss government recognised BRICS growing role in the world
The BRICS countries are capable of contributing to the stabilisation of the world, and the role of this association in the global economy and politics is becoming increasingly important against the background of ‘the erosion of the West’s influence’ – as noted in the foreign policy report, approved by the Swiss government, TASS reports
The document contains a ‘special dossier’ on the history of BRICS and analyses its activities, including in the economic and security spheres. It states that ‘it would be a mistake to give a purely negative assessment of the BRICS’ growing demand for the shaping of the world order.
It is reported that the way in which the BRICS member states are using their growing importance and assuming responsibility, they can indeed contribute to stabilising the world order.
