State Border Committee clarified visa-free entry rules for Slavianski Bazaar participants and guests

Belarus’ State Border Committee has clarified the rules of visa-free entry for participants and guests of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, sb.by reports with reference to the department’s website

The main events of the 33rd Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk International Festival of Arts are scheduled for July 11th-14th, and separate preferences are provided for their organisers and participants from July 4th to July 21st.

In particular, a visa-free procedure for entry into Belarus, exit from it at any international checkpoint of the country and temporary stay in Belarus will be established for foreigners who have valid documents for travelling abroad. To use the visa-free opportunities, festival participants will need an invitation from the Vitebsk Centre of Culture or the Culture Ministry, and guests will need original or electronic tickets to the Summer Amphitheatre or Vitebsk Concert Hall. One original or electronic ticket allows a single entry into Belarus for one foreign citizen no later than the date of the event specified in the ticket. The list of countries whose citizens can take an advantage of visa-free procedures for entering and leaving Belarus includes 73 states.

Additional preferences are also envisaged. For example, foreigners and persons without citizenship will not pay the state fee for registration of their temporary stay in Belarus. Foreign individual entrepreneurs participating in the preparation and holding of the festival are exempt from paying personal income tax on income received from funds provided to the Vitebsk Centre of Culture for the preparation and holding of the festival, regardless of the sources of financing. Foreign organisations participating in the preparation and holding of the festival and not operating in Belarus through permanent representative offices are exempt from paying income tax on foreign organisations not operating in Belarus through permanent representative offices from income received from funds provided to the Vitebsk Centre of Culture for the preparation and holding of the festival, regardless of the sources of financing.
