State Border Committee: 26,000+ EU residents visited Belarus without visas since early 2024
Since January 1st, 2024, 26,228 foreigners from the European Union have used the Belarusian visa-free regime to visit the republic, the State Border Committee reports in its Telegram channel
It is informed that among them were 14,782 Lithuanian citizens, 5,222 citizens and 1,256 non-citizens of Latvia, as well as 4,968 Polish citizens.
In total, 826,834 foreigners from the neighbouring EU countries have travelled to Belarus since the launch of the visa-free regime: 509,993 citizens of Lithuania, 190,023 citizens and 57,371 non-citizens of Latvia, as well as 69,447 citizens of Poland.
As recalled by the State Border Committee, the Belarusian visa-free regime has been extended until December 31st, 2024.
