Spain to allocate €262 million to fight climate change

Acting Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said the country had announced about €262m to help combat climate change, TASS reports

Pedro Sanchez said, “We want to strengthen our commitment to climate finance. I am therefore pleased to announce that we will contribute €225m to the second replenishment of the Green Climate Fund.”

He also clarified that another €20m will go to the international ‘adaptation fund’. Spain will spend €17m on tools that will promote climate justice.
