Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft rocket set for launch

Final preparations are underway at Baikonur for the launch of the 21st Visiting Expedition, which will include Marina Vasilevskaya, a participant of the space flight from Belarus

At 7am local time, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket was traditionally removed from the assembly and test building. After all, the famous Vostok spaceflight, on which Gagarin conquered space, was leaving at the same time. Later, the ship's rocket was brought to a vertical position on the launching pad.

The launch of VE-21 is scheduled for March 21st. The main crew of the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, a participant of the space flight from the Republic of Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya, NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson. Their understudies are Roscosmos cosmonaut Ivan Vagner, a participant of the space flight from the Republic of Belarus Anastasia Lenkova and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit.
