Sokol: we must give a sharp political rebuff to all destructive forces

Today, the geopolitical situation remains extremely difficult and is rapidly deteriorating, with the scale and dramatic nature of the global changes being striking and alarming – as stated by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Aleksei Sokol, at a festive rally on Minsk’s Nezavisimosti Square as part of the celebration of the 106th anniversary of the October Revolution

He underlined that we see with our own eyes how the events around Ukraine are developing, what a brutal war is being waged in the Middle East, and what forces of influence are being used against China, Russia, India, Vietnam, Latin American and other countries.

“A large-scale arsenal of influence mechanisms has been deployed against the Republic of Belarus. The collective West has unleashed a political, economic and information war. NATO military forces are being built up in the Baltic States and Poland, near the Belarusian borders. The situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border is also escalating.”

In this regard, Aleksei Sokol is convinced that, “We need to constantly monitor, analyse and give a critical assessment of the actions of opponents of the course of Belarus’ socio-economic and political development, pursued by President Aleksandr Lukashenko. We must give a sharp political rebuff to all destructive forces participating in the information and psychological war against our country.”

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus added, “Today, we strive to preserve and increase all the best that we inherited from our ancestors. By strengthening Belarusian statehood, we continue our path to new heights and bright victories that our descendants will be proud of.”
