A multipolar world will be based on technology, not finance – as stated by the Member of the Board (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Andrey Slepnev, at the 15th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum
“The restructuring of the entire world economy is profound, and it must be comprehended and constantly be in sight. Speaking of a multipolar world, we can assert that it will be based on technology, not finance. Meanwhile, the technological power is deeper, it penetrates to the operational activities of production elements,” Mr. Slepnev said, adding that understanding of the value of technological sovereignty should be in the spotlight. “As for the role of Europe in the new technological order, we are interested in it being based on partnership, and for their economy to be independent of the hegemon,” he noted.
