“We are placing stake on the Greater Eurasia partnership as a global project that is beneficial to all states of the continent at the same time. It is important to eliminate trade barriers as much as possible and to ensure free movement of goods and capital,” Mr. Reshetnikov stressed in his speech.

According to Russia’s Minister of Economic Development, logistic routes need to be diversified as well. “Another important direction is formation of an alternative system of international settlements independent of world reserve currencies. This now acts as a limiter for the development of bilateral trade. First of all, we are talking about the system of transmission of financial messages, development of a network of mutual correspondent accounts in national currencies,” he explained. Mr. Reshetnikov added that it is also necessary to intensify investment activity. As an example, he mentioned the development of this direction in the EAEU, “Lists of investment projects have been formed in the EAEU by now, and we are moving from trade to industrial co-operation. To date, 160 projects have been formed in industry and 70 projects in the agro-industrial complex. Projects in the transport and logistics complex are also being developed.”
