On January 25th, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, signed Decree No. 32 On the Road Transportation of Passengers – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

The norms of the document are aimed at ensuring the safety of road transportation, creating conditions for fair competition, improving the quality of services provided and further improving legal relations in the field of road transportation of passengers.

The decree envisages the creation of a state information resource – Register of Passenger Road Transportation in Unscheduled Traffic – operated and owned by the Transport Inspectorate.

The register will include information about carriers, vehicles (buses, cars, taxis), drivers, dispatchers of unscheduled traffic, as well as taxi dispatchers. Inclusion of information in the register from August 1st to October 31st, 2024, will be carried out without charging a state fee.
