Rahmon: CIS countries are united by shared interests
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened the CIS summit, which is taking place at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe on October 10th

At the summit, Emomali Rahmon warmly welcomed guests and participants, emphasising that in the Commonwealth of Independent States, friends and partners are united by shared interests.
He also added that while chairing the CIS, Tajikistan has continued its comprehensive work to effectively implement joint projects, closely co-operating with the member states and CIS Executive Committee, “We've held dozens of events of various levels and formats. We've placed an emphasis on improving the organisation's activities, continuing our efforts to expand trade and economic co-operation and developing transport and logistics connectivity and digital integration. We've focused on strengthening co-operation in security. I'm confident that through joint efforts we will be able to develop solutions aimed at strengthening the potential of the Commonwealth.”
