Putin: West will fail to damage sovereignty of Belarus, Russia

All attempts by Western countries to damage the sovereignty of Belarus and Russia are doomed to failure – as stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at talks with Aleksandr Lukashenko in an expanded format

The Russian leader stressed that ensuring defence and security is extremely important in modern conditions, and these issues are always in the field of view of the presidents of Belarus and Russia.

“Especially recently, all this has been relevant. I mean the direction that the West has chosen in relation to both Belarus and Russia: the one of unconditional hostility, attempts to restrain our development and damage our sovereignty. Nobody has succeeded in this regard so far, and I am sure nothing will work out. We feel absolutely confident and reliable, and we will strengthen our interaction in in these important areas as well,” Vladimir Putin said.
