Presidential grants awarded to 50 specialists in the field of science, education, medicine, culture, and youth policy

Grants of the President of Belarus have been awarded to 50 specialists working in the fields of science, education, health, culture, youth policy, as well as those who have made a significant contribution to their development – following Aleksandr Lukashenko’s decree signed on December 30th, Belarusian leader’s press service reports

The allocated grants are provided for research and development in the field of materials science, medical, biological, agricultural sciences, for the use of modern methods, educational and methodical complexes, electronic textbooks to improve the quality of students’ education. They are also aimed at creating new methods and medical technologies for treating patients and diagnosing diseases in the field of surgery, oncology, anaesthesiology, psychiatry, for the implementation of creative projects – such as works of music, theatre and other types of art, museum expositions, preservation of national traditions of weaving. The grants also aim to support the implementation of youth projects dealing with patriotic education, the study of historical heritage, the involvement of young people in public activities, and the increase of their civic engagement.

The decree aims to contribute to the support and development of Belarus’ priority social spheres: science, education, healthcare, culture, and youth initiatives.
