President made new appointments

Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed new Deputy Prime Minister – Leonid Zayats – who had previously been Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly

Personnel changes have also taken place at Bobruiskagromash Holding Management Company JSC: the Head of State has appointed Viktor Filatov as its Director General. Previously, Mr. Filatov acted as a deputy there.

The Belarusian Potash Company now also has new Director General: Aleksandr Lukashenko has agreed to appoint Aleksei Skraga, who earlier worked as Director General of the Belspetsvneshtechnika state foreign trade company, to this post.

The Head of State has also agreed on the appointment of Aleksandr Bykov as Chairman of the Chashniki District Executive Committee. Until recently, he headed the Zaozerye agricultural production branch of the Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant JSC.

The Grodno State Medical University has now new Rector: Igor Zhuk. Before the Presidential appointment, he worked as Chairman of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies.   

Alesia Abramenko, following the President’s appointment, is now Deputy Economy Minister.

The Council of the Republic has also undergone changes. Aleksandr Lukashenko has agreed to appoint Mikhail Gurinovich as Head of the Secretariat of the Council of the Republic. Until recently, he headed the Department for Ensuring Activities of the Standing Commission for Regional Policy and Local Self-Government of the Secretariat of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly.
