Political scientist about NBC journalist who interviewed Lukashenko: Western pattern of thinking is obvious

The rhetoric of the NBC journalist who interviewed the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at the CIS Heads of State summit in Astana, is purely propagandistic in nature, on the one hand. Meanwhile, on the other hand, it demonstrates a certain pattern of thinking among Western journalists. Political scientist Piotr Petrovsky shared his views.

“Stereotypeness is evident in speeches of not only Western journalists, but also politicians. This suggests that – ideologically, from the point of view of the values-based attitude – the West wants to make everyone guilty, except itself,” Mr. Petrovsky said.

In this regard, the political scientist recalled the danger of the proliferation of nuclear weapons, which Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke about in an interview with Russian journalists. Deployment of American nuclear weapons in Poland is the point here.

“I am beginning to think that hawks in Washington are trying to create the ground, especially among the public opinion of the West, for further aggressive actions against Belarus and Russia through such rhetoric,” he added.
