Excercises in Baltic airspace launched by NATO

Ramstein Alloy exercises launched today by NATO and partner countries in the Baltic airspace, RIA Novosti reports

According to the press service of the Estonian Defence Forces’ General Staff, the exercises aim to ensure security of the airspace of the Baltic States and conduct communication and management procedures. Actions in case of loss of communication, aircraft escorting, identification of air targets, search and rescue operations will also be practiced

As reported, the Ramstein Alloy exercises of the NATO Air Force and its partners will last four days. In addition to French and Spanish fighters based at the Amari air base in Estonia and the Siauliai air base in Lithuania, Finnish, German, Swedish, Czech, British and Turkish fighters will take part: a total of ten aircraft.
