Minsk’s special purpose police units show their mettle

The 5th separate special purpose brigade of the Armed Forces’ Special Forces hospitably provided its training ground for holding competitions of special purpose police units of the Minsk City Executive Committee’s Main Department of Internal Affairs

Following the competition rules, most of the events were held in the dark. During the march, the servicemen had to land from a helicopter mock-up, set up a river crossing, and take a wounded teammate away from fire shooting. In almost all exercises, the emphasis was placed on causing no harm to peaceful people who were held hostage by criminals.

It is planned that, in late May, similar exercises will gather special purpose police units from all over the country.
