Reuters news agency reports that the company recorded cases of amputation of limbs, broken bones, including the skull, dislocations, burns, eye injuries, as well as multiple cuts and wounds. According to the news agency, the reason for the current situation was chaos in the company due to Musk’s pursuit of quick results, which led to overworked staff. Moreover, insufficiently trained employees had to neglect safety precautions.

“Elon’s concept that SpaceX is on this mission to go to Mars as fast as possible and save humanity permeates every part of the company. The company justifies casting aside anything that could stand in the way of accomplishing that goal, including worker safety,” said one former employee of the company.

According to Reuters, Musk himself repeatedly ignored safety rules while visiting his company’s site. Staff said he sometimes played with a flamethrower and discouraged them from wearing protective yellow clothing because he didn't like bright colours.

Previously, Forbes reported that the American entrepreneur, owner of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, still takes the lead in the list of the richest people in the US. His net worth has remained unchanged since 2022, despite the Twitter acquisition, and is currently valued at $251bn.
