Expert Council of the 25th Belaya Vezha International Theatre Festival announces the best performance
The Marriage with Wind production of the Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama – directed by Yevgeny Kornyag – has been acknowledged the best performance of the festival programme.
The plastic show continues its director’s creative searches on the verge of aesthetics, psychedelic trance, outrageousness, modern choreography and the subconscious. The theme of male complexes and gender stereotypes comes to the fore.
The main character is torn between his despotic mother and a bride. This ambivalence is in the heart of show which – in addition to young artistes of the Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama – features a People's Artiste of Belarus, Tatiana Markhel.
