Makei met with Apostolic Nuncio and Metropolitan of Minsk-Mogilev Archdiocese

Belarus’ Foreign Minister, Vladimir Makei, has met today with the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Ante Jozic, and the Metropolitan of the Minsk-Mogilev Archdiocese, Archbishop Iosif Staneuski – as informed by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry

The sides focused on the current position of the Roman Catholic Church in the Republic of Belarus, interaction of the Holy See and official Minsk, and also some other issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda. The meeting participants confirmed their desire to strengthen interfaith dialogue and intensify co-operation in various fields to achieve further positive dynamics of interaction.

Vladimir Makei wished Iosif Staneuski long and fruitful work in his new post.
