Lukashenko: world embraced with information wave of WWIII premonition

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has held an expanded meeting with the heads of the state bodies of national security system today. Addressing the generals and officers, the Commander-in-Chief noted that they had gathered to discuss the most pressing issues in the field of national security, to assess the real situation developing in Belarus and around it as objectively as possible – doing that without any embellishment, in an open manner, like true men.

The Head of State suggested looking at the situation through the prism of existential threats – ‘the ones that have arisen not today or yesterday’, “You know that it is not enough just to see them: it is necessary to understand the global political situation, to objectively assess the causes and prerequisites – especially now, when the world has again come to the edge of the abyss.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, there is no country and people on our planet who could feel absolutely safe in the last decades. “Military force has once again become the main argument of the world centres – as if there were no millions of [human] losses and horrors of WWI and WWII. We have literally been embraced with an information wave of the so-called premonition of the Third World War, and only the lazy one has not mentioned it. There are grounds for concern,” he stated.
