Belarus will not concentrate all advanced industries solely in Minsk, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko stated during his today’s meeting with the Planar Holding Company employees
When asked which advanced industries and technologies should be concentrated in Minsk, the President noted, “I will not repeat Moscow’s mistake of pulling everything into the centre. That’s why we will focus on developing the regions.”
Specifically about shipbuilding, the President highlighted the importance of developing this sector using the current facilities in Pinsk, adding, “But if the people of Minsk were manufacturing motorcycles and bicycles, why should we destroy that?”
