Inna Korotkevich, the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs at the Mogilev City Executive Committee, explained on how children are informed on the topic of genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and asked a question related to the traditional values. Addressing the Head of State, she said that genocide is taking new forms today, including through propaganda of childfree or non-traditional relations. “How can the Belarusian youth be protected?” the lady asked.

The Head of State answered, “It is necessary to give birth to babies, and guide our children towards this. Women can solve this problem.”

At the same time, the Belarusian leader stressed that Belarus will not promote non-traditional relations, “We will not propagandise them, and we will seriously suppress them even according to our legislation. We must primarily generate a tendency of non-acceptance [of this trend] in our society. If our youngsters live in a large family (or at least in a family with two children), where parents discuss family relations all the time… Everything is rooted in the family.”
