Near the technopark, the Belarusian Head of State was welcomed by students, and the President, before visiting the institution, was able to get information, as they say, first-hand.

The youngsters talked about the learning process and their impressions. The technopark provides classes on information security and augmented reality. According to them, these are popular and promising areas. They enjoy the process of learning. Alongside new knowledge, they find new friends here.

“You’re our future, you’re doing great,” Aleksandr Lukashenko praised the pupils.

The President clarified with Director of the National Children’s Technopark Sergei Sachko what problems there are in the functioning of the institution.

“What’s wrong? What’s missing?” the Head of State asked.

“There is a small issue on equipment, but we’ll settle it,” said Sergei Sachko.

“Wasn’t is a mistake to establish such a centre? Won’t it turn out that a lot of money and efforts are invested in these guys, and they will be on low demand?” Aleksandr Lukashenko asked.

“In no case. This is the elite, the future of our country,” Sergei Sachko is convinced. In his opinion, it is even time for the technopark to expand, taking even more children for training.

During the work of the National Children’s Technopark, 1,930 pupils of grades 9-11 were trained here, 25 educational sessions lasting 24 days each took place. Competition for studies is 3 people per place on average. Children here gain knowledge across 15 most promising areas for the economy, including green chemistry, nano-industry and nano-technologies, virtual and augmented reality, engineering ecology, and aerospace technologies. Leading scientists and university specialists, as well as promising young scientists are attracted for teaching in the technopark.

In the new academic year, the technopark plans to introduce training programmes in the areas of scientific research of the Military Academy of Belarus. The most promising projects of students, such as Ecopackaging and BelBioPak, will be patented. There are also plans to conduct classes of associations of interest for pupils in grades 5-8.
