During his today’s meeting with Planar employees, President Aleksandr Lukashenko stated that this year, we need to do as much as possible for Belarusian women, BelTA reports
The Head of State reminded that 2026 has been declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman in the country. “Slogans are fine, but we need to organise significant events for women — not necessarily every day, but at least weekly or monthly. The year will pass, and women will remember this Year of the Woman. We must do our utmost for our women this year. This is not to simply please you, women, but because you truly are the foundation of our lives,” the Belarusian leader highlighted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to consider what events should be held throughout the year to make it memorable. Speaking to, among others, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova and Press Secretary Natalya Eismont, the Head of State said, “Work together with the Women’s Union to ensure that women not only remember that the President declared the Year of the Woman but also recall the year itself. What should we do, what events should we organise? Don’t worry about the men — they will find their place. Think about it, Natalya Ivanovna [Kochanova] — you are responsible for this. Whatever you decide, we will support.”
