"Mr. Vice President, you know that we have had very fruitful talks with the Head of State, the President of Iran. We have unequivocally stated that the economy acts as the basis for any relationship and mutual understanding. Meanwhile, you are the key person in the economy. Therefore, the implementation of our agreements will mainly depend on the government of Iran which you head," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The Head of State added that, together with the President of Iran, he visited an exhibition of the leading medical and scientific-innovative manufacturers. “I looked at some samples that you produce. They are amazing. You are creating high-tech equipment that the whole world needs. Take turbines, various information and communication things, the most modern medicines that are moderately priced. This stands high. We are ready to co-operate with you in all these areas. If you have an interest, let's create joint ventures in Belarus and trade around the world," the President suggested.

"In short, as a result of these successful negotiations, we have outlined a significant amount of work for you. We have a single request to you (there will be no delay on our part): we should definitely implement all our agreements during this year. If so, we will then be able to easily add more than $100m in our trade turnover," the Belarusian leader said.
