Opening the meeting, Aleksandr Lukashenko said, “Traditionally, we discuss the most pressing, very important issues of the strategic development of our state.”

As for the first topic, the Head of State recalled that a year has passed since the unique large-scale BNBC production was solemnly launched, “We were proud of this production in the past, and we are proud now. All conditions were created for the start of its work, and we agreed that we will support the project in every possible way. However, according to the submitted documents, I see that things are going not exactly as planned. As reported by the State Control Committee, which was tasked with revising the situation in the most serious way, there are significant shortcomings and problems with the utilisation of the plant's capacities and the sale of finished products. All this has a negative impact on the BNBC financial performance.”

The President demanded from the Government to submit a clear algorithm for eliminating all existing flaws and ensuring financial stability in the operation of the enterprise. Aleksandr Lukashenko primarily asked how the production plans and export strategy are being implemented, and whether additional solutions are needed for the balanced development of the corporation.

“I want you to understand that this is an image-forming and very important technological project for our country. You know what it cost not only me, but also the state,” the Head of State addressed those present.
