“The Belarusian people are sincerely happy that, despite all the challenges, the Chinese nation in 2021, under your leadership, completed the set tasks and successfully achieved the First Centenary Goal: overcoming poverty and building a moderately prosperous society,” reads the congratulatory message.

The Belarusian Head of State expressed his conviction that China will continue its way along the well-defined path to achieve the Second Centenary Goal: the dream of the Chinese people of the national rejuvenation.

“The fulfilment of this task will have a positive impact on the economic development of the Asian region and the whole world,” believes the Belarusian leader.

Minsk is proud of its relations of iron brotherhood and all-weather friendship with Beijing, tempered not only in confrontation with global powers, but also in daily painstaking work for the benefit of the citizens of the two countries, stated the President.

Aleksandr Lukashenko welcomed rapidly increasing trade turnover between Belarus and China and the implementation of world-class joint investment projects, alongside mutual assistance in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our states pay special attention to the expansion of humanitarian co-operation, including educational ties and cultural contacts, bringing our peoples even closer,” noted the Belarusian leader.

He thanked China for its clear and correct understanding of the peculiarities of Belarus' development and its national interests.

“I assure you of our continued support for China on fundamental issues, including the One China principle,” underlined the Head of State.

The President of Belarus also welcomed Xi Jinping’s Global Development Initiative, “We fully share its goals, we consider it important for the world community to focus on the joint achievement of progress instead of confrontation leading to self-destruction.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health and happiness to Xi Jinping, his family and the entire Chinese people.
