Lukashenko sent condolences to US people over tragedy in Texas

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has sent condolences to the people of the United States over a tragedy in Uvalde, Texas – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Belarus has learnt with a great pain of the news of numerous victims, the absolute majority of whom are children, as a result of a ruthless massacre at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. This is an irreparable loss for parents, relatives and friends,” the message of condolences reads.

The Head of State added that such terrible tragedies happen, among other things, due to the lack of proper control over the circulation of weapons in combination with the thoughtless dissemination, especially on social networks, of propaganda materials about extremism, terrorism, and other destructive content that creates emotional pressure for a fragile psyche of the younger generation. “The entire world community should today unite efforts to combat these challenges, since they have no state borders,” he noted.

“On behalf of all Belarusians and on my own behalf, I send sincere condolences and words of support to the relatives of the victims and all people of the United States, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded," the message reads.
